This OBX  house is located in Corolla, North Carolina in the subdivision of Ocean Sands. The home rents for an entire week during the mid, swing and prime seasons. The available weeks can be found on the availability and rates page.   The house has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, sleeps 12 people comfortably (13 max) and is approximately 110 yards from the beach access.  The Ocean Sands Subdivision is a family friendly, private community with homes developed on quiet cul-de-sacs. Our house is at the end of the cul-de-sac located on open space with southern exposure. We are located in section D which one of the smallest sections of homes meaning the beach is not crowded. There is plenty of space for football, frisbee, volleyball, surfing, fishing, etc. It is a perfect place for a family vacation.

It rents from Sunday to Sunday because the traffic is much better on Sundays. Cleaning is provided. There is a linen option but you can also bring your own sheets and towels. The linen option includes sheets, bath towels and the beds being made prior to your arrival. Exterior, interior and bedroom pictures along with weekly rates and general information can also be found on the photo page. Make sure you check out the specials page for discounts and last minute deals.

Just a few miles (~7) to the North, is the Currituck Beach Lighthouse and the Historic Corolla Hunting Lodge called the Whalehead Mansion where you can listen to concerts on the lawn, crab off the canal or kayak on the Currituck sound . It is a perfect place to view the sunset and take some awesome photos. A new Maritime Museum in now open along with a OBX Wildlife Education Center between the Lighthouse and the Whalehead Mansion. Both are free. Ride your SUV on the undeveloped beaches to the north or book a 4-wheel excursion to see the
wild horses. Wind surfing, parasailing and jet ski rentals are available as well as pubs and music. Near the Foodlion Grocery store (~3 miles North) is a movie theater, shopping, putt putt, go carts and restaurants. A little over an hour South is the North Carolina Aquarium, the Elizabethan Gardens, the Lost Colony of Roanoke. The Jockey’s Ridge dune, Oregon inlet and the Wright Brother’s Memorial are on the way. At Jockey’s Ridge you can fly a kite or even hang glide. At the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center you can charter a boat to catch striped bass, marlin and tuna. There is something for everyone on the OBX!

Cleaning is provided. Linens are recommended but optional at $200. The linen option includes the beds being made prior to your arrival. Well behaved dogs (2 max) are welcome with a $150 fee. Heat for the pool is $400 per week. Pool Heat is free for all May and October 2024 weeks!! Keep in mind other pool owners have told us the heater will only raise the water temperature about 10 Degrees above the air temperature. The pool will be available from May 5 – October 20.
